Making a difference award for District Nurse heroes

District Nurses Emily Davies and Vicky Gibb receiving their MADE award from Karen James

Two district nurses who came to the aid of a distressed man who had fallen from his wheelchair in the street have been recognised for their quick actions and care.

Emily Davies and Vicky Gibb were presented with a Making A Difference Every day award certificate from Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Chief Executive Karen James OBE at Cheadle Hulme clinic where they are based.

Grateful family members of the man they helped praised Emily and Vicky on a local Facebook group with led to their nomination. The man had broken his leg and was in great distress before they came to his aid.

Making A Difference Every day awards are presented to Stockport NHS staff in both the hospital and community who have gone the extra mile and showed outstanding care.
