Trust offers golden hello to nurses

A non-recurrent £3,000 ‘golden hello’ is being offered to people looking to kickstart their career in Nursing.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is making the offer to all new Band 5 Nurses who join the trust.

Its ‘golden hello’ recruitment premium will include a first payment of £1,000 (pro-rata for part-time staff) to be made at six months following start date, subject to a satisfactory probation period, and a final payment of £2,000 to be made upon the one year anniversary from their start date.

The scheme will be reviewed in March 2023. The recruitment premium is to be made in accordance with Section 5 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions.

The payment will be deemed a short-term recruitment premium, awarded on a one-off basis; as such will not be pensionable or count for the purposes of overtime, unsocial hours payments or any other payments linked to basic pay.
