Due to both staff progression and maternity leave we have the exciting opportunity to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Band 5, Nurses to work within our community teams in North Warwickshire which include Atherstone, Nuneaton & Bedworth and other North Warwickshire areas.

They are developing ground breaking new services designed to help patients better manage their own conditions, stay out of hospital and use the latest systems and technology to provide the most efficient and effective health care possible. We have grown considerably in our community teams over the past few years and we need excellent people to continue our journey of innovation and development.Ideally you will have experience of working in a community setting however, if you don't have this experience but really want to work in the community we still want to hear from you. We provide a structured induction and training period to ensure that all new starters are provided with the opportunity to develop new skills and competence.

Main duties of the job

The community staff nurse is a member of the Integrated Health Team, who undertakes professional duties in the client's homes and clinics to ensure provision of high standard nursing care and health promotion. To work across professional boundaries, providing comprehensive health care that is sensitive to the needs of the local population.

Lots of our patients have long term conditions and complex health needs. Working with us you could gain skills in a number of areas ranging from wound care management, catheter care, rehabilitation, IV therapies and end of life care.

You will be working primarily within the community team however there are opportunities to rotate between community nursing and the urgent response team.

You need to be flexible, have your own transport and be able to travel.
