RCN Nursing Support Workers’ Day returns

RCN Nursing Support Workers’ Day returns

The RCN Nursing Support Workers’ Day will be back for its third year in November.

This autumn the organisation will showcase the diverse roles of nursing support workers as it celebrates their incredible work and the difference they make to the lives of patients, families and carers.

Those who want to get involved are invited to download posters for their workplace from the RCN website, as well as graphics for social media.

Participants can also order free Nursing Support Workers’ Day badges from the RCN website – orders will be sent out from Monday, October 31.

For the first time this year participants will also be able to buy an enamel badge from the RCN shop to show their support.

Following the huge success of the day last year, Kevin Morley, Chair of the RCN UK Nursing Support Workers Committee, wants even more people to get involved this November.

He said: “Use the day to celebrate the importance of our work and the breadth of roles and settings we work in.

“This is an opportunity to tell our story as nursing support workers and show appreciation for our colleagues all over the UK.”

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 23.
