Nursing conference in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is preparing to host its first ever Nursing in the Community Conference.

The event will take place next month on International Nurses Day and has been organised by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust to celebrate health and care professionals working in the county.

It will showcase best practice, look at the essential role community services have in delivering local and national NHS plans and give attendees the opportunity to reflect on the priorities of the community nursing programme.

It is open to NHS staff and their colleagues working in public health, social care, care and the third sector.

Keynote speakers will include NHS England Deputy Director for Community Nursing Sam Sherrington and NHS England Midlands Director of Nursing and Patient Services Sylvia Knight.

Plenary sessions on the day will include personalisation, research, workforce retention and recruitment as well as using data to understand and support health management.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided and stalls will be available to browse during the breaks.

The event will take place from 9.45am to 4.45pm on Friday, May 12, at New Life Conference Centre in Sleaford.
