New NHS medtech pathway out for consultation

A proposed new pathway for the appraisal, funding and commissioning of medtech in the NHS is now out for consultation.

The pathway aims to establish a new route to NHS adoption, at scale, of selected, cutting-edge medtech products.

It’s designed to support: 

·       Improved outcomes for patients

·       Greater certainty for industry 

·       Better value for the taxpayer 

·       Affordability for the NHS.  

Consultation on the proposed pathway is open until Thursday, August 15.
