National obesity conference: Just eight weeks to go
The countdown is on for the Obesity & Weight Management Alliance Conference, with just eight weeks until one of the most important events for UK healthcare professionals tackling the nation’s obesity crisis.
Taking place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Thistle London Marble Arch, this year’s conference has already seen a record number of registrations, and places are filling fast.
Chaired by Professor Melanie Davies CBE, a world-renowned expert in diabetes and weight management research, this must-attend event will provide cutting-edge education and networking opportunities for healthcare professionals.
Joining Professor Davies are esteemed experts in the field, including Professor Alex Miras, Professor Carel Le Roux, Doctor Dimitris Papamargaritis, and Sarah Le Brocq. Together, they will address critical topics, ensuring attendees benefit from the latest research, innovative strategies, and practical solutions.
Attendees will also have access to free CPD-accredited education, ensuring they stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Event Manager Emily Mayhew said: “This event offers healthcare professionals an invaluable platform to enhance their expertise, exchange ideas, and connect with leaders shaping the future of obesity management.
“This year we are also thrilled to invite registered attendees to submit a poster showcasing good practice, research, or innovative approaches in obesity management. Accepted posters will be displayed during the conference and the winning poster will receive an award presented at the event.”
Entry to the conference is free, but places must be booked in advance here
Registered attendees are invited to submit their poster proposal by completing this form by January 31.
Providing a combination of free events, educational webinars and a monthly newsletter, healthcare professionals are encouraged to sign up here to the Alliance to ensure they stay abreast of recent developments, educational events and best practice.
The Alliance has received funding by means of sponsorship to support the delivery of the conference from multiple sponsors. The sponsors have had no editorial input or control over the agenda, content development orchoice of speakers, nor opportunity to influence except for the sponsored symposia presentations.
