Line-up revealed for 2023 Community Nursing Now National Conference

Leading experts will share the latest educational insights from the field of Community and District Nursing at the 2023 Community Nursing Now National Conference.

The online annual conference is free to the UK’s hard working Community and District Nurses and will feature live presentations followed by Q&A sessions.

This year’s event is called ‘Community Nursing Futures: Learning for Impact’ and will have a strong focus on education. Register here now

Event organiser Emily Mayhew said: “We have a fantastic line-up of speakers for this year’s national conference who will be sharing their expertise and real-world learning with our audience.

“This will be a great opportunity for Community and District Nurses from across the UK to take advantage of the latest educational insights for free.”

This year’s conference is CPD accredited and will be chaired by Debbie Hicks who has an impressive reputation in the world of diabetes nursing.

Debbie is Director - Trend Diabetes and Independent consultant - Diabetes Nursing. She leads on diabetes care for Medicus Health Partners, is on the editorial board of The Diabetes Times, is Chair of Injection Technique Matters and has published more than 130 papers in the UK and internationally.

This year’s sessions will include presentations on ‘Transgender Healthcare in the Community’ by Registered Nurse and lecturer Claire Carmichael and ‘Continuous Glucose Monitoring in the Community’ by Diabetes Specialist Nurse Vicki Alabraba.

There will also be a session led by Children’s Nurse Rohit Sagoo who is Founder of British Sikh Nurses and a PhD student at the University of Bedfordshire.

Other highlights will include talks from Denise Dye, who is a lecturer in Community Nursing at Teesside University and a Queen’s Nurse, and Mark Millar who chairs The Association of District Nurses & Community Nurse Educators (ADNE) and is a lecturer in District Nursing.

The event will take place from 10am to 2.30pm on Friday, November 3.
