Community Nursing Now conference attracts nurses from across UK

Community Nursing Now national conference attracts nurses from across UK

Nearly 500 healthcare professionals signed up for Community Nursing Now’s first national conference.

The virtual conference took place on Friday and featured insightful presentations, a panel discussion and leading speakers sharing advice and best practice relating to diabetes, wound care and palliative care.

The event was free to attend for UK community and district nurses and was organised by Community Nursing Now – a new network dedicated to community and district nursing for healthcare professionals.

Event manager Emily Mayhew said: “We were delighted to receive such a fantastic response to our inaugural national conference.

“The event was CPD-accredited and gave delegates an incredible opportunity to hear from speakers who are recognised as leaders in their fields.

“The feedback we have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive and delegates have told us they found the conference very informative.

“They were also impressed when they heard about the inspirational work that is happening in nursing across the UK right now.

“We’d like to thank all the speakers and delegates who helped to make our first national conference such a success.”

A recording of the conference will soon be made available for free on the Community Nursing Now website.

The conference also featured a symposium for healthcare professionals only, which was developed, organised and funded by event sponsors Novo Nordisk.

Novo Nordisk provided sponsorship for the Community Nursing Now Conference 2022 to cover the development costs of project administration and management.

Novo Nordisk had no influence over the creation, development or content of the Community Nursing Now Conference 2022 and full control remained the full responsibility of the Community Nursing Now network.
