New date announced for major nursing conference

The new date for a free online conference created to support the UK’s hard-working district and community nurses has been revealed.

Last year, nearly 500 healthcare professionals signed up for the first ever Community Nursing Now national conference to take advantage of a range of insightful presentations and panel discussions led by leading figures from the world of nursing.

Following its success, the organisers are pressing ahead with plans for this year’s conference.

Originally due to be held in October, it has been rearranged due to a clash with a similar event, and will now be held on Friday, November 3.

Event manager Emily Mayhew said: “At Community Nursing Now we are dedicated to supporting community and district nurses and our national conference is one of the key ways we can share with them examples of best practice as well as the latest news and innovations.

“This year’s conference will once again be free to attend for all the UK’s community and district nurses and will cover the latest hot topics in diabetes, wound care and palliative care.”

The Community Nursing Now network was launched last year to support the UK’s community and district nurses.

As well as holding a national CPD-accredited conference the organisation shares best practice, innovations, case studies and the latest news through the Community Nursing Now website, email newsletters and podcasts.
