Job summary

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated qualified nurses to join our District Nursing team in the Wigan area.

Monday to Sunday working pattern. We have full and part time posts available, which can be discussed at interview.

Only those with pending/active NMC registration can be considered for this post.

Main duties of the job

You will have a variety of clinical skills and be able to demonstrate continued professional development and qualified as a registered nurse. You will have highly developed communication and personal skills.

You will have the ability to work alone but still be a team player. If you feel you are adaptable, self motivated and able to respond to challenges then please apply for this position. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check + Adults' Barred Lists, which will be obtained during pre-employment checks.

Applicants will be required to see patients and families face to face within a community setting. Therefore it cannot be ruled out that they may come in to contact with people who have COVID-19, although the Trust provides PPE and takes all reasonable steps to ask patients with symptoms to cancel appointments.

You will need to be able to travel independently across the Trust.
