Stevenage Integrated Community Team are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Community Nursing Sisters to join our friendly, supportive and Gold Accredited Team. You will be working alongside our nursing support staff, therapy staff and Hospital@Home team to provide safe, effective, and high quality care to our patients within their own homes. We understand how important it is to have time to settle in to a new team; all staff joining our team are provided with a thorough 4-6 week induction period. Here, you will have the chance to work as a supernumerary member of the team, shadowing numerous staff in various roles within and outside of our team before working independently.
Main duties of the job
Stevenage Integrated Community Team is an expanding and evolving service. We provide a wide range of nursing led care to people within their own homes. As a nurse in our team, you will be supported to develop and broaden your skill set. To achieve this, we facilitate our staff to access an extensive training and education programme, as well a range of personal and professional development opportunities including the PgDip Specialist Community Nursing course and prescribing courses. We also offer training in leadership and management to support you to manage your team effectively. In order to support your clinical and professional development, we provide regular supervision, held alternatively with a matron and manager.
Our service operates 8am - 10pm, 365 days a year. We can offer flexible working patterns and pride ourselves on working with our staff to ensure their work schedule supports a healthy work life balance. We are happy to consider full or part time applicants.
A full UK valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
