The post is initially based with a District Nursing Team in the Cynon valley area, although you could be asked to work anywhere within the Merthyr & Cynon ILG to meet the needs of the Service.

Post is community base, therefore able to travel to undertake the duties of the post throughout the locality in a timely manner is an essential part of the role.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join the District Nursing Service. The applicant must be a Registered Nurse, be confident and competent in a wide range of clinical skills and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. There is a requirement for a flexible approach to work and an ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.

There are multiple demands in this exciting role due to the challenging nature of providing care for patients outside of the hospital environment. The post-holder will however find themselves well supported by a very friendly and enthusiastic team of staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
