Hillingdon District Nursing service are looking for community nurses either on a full-time basis; or, nurses that would benefit from flexible working to fit around other commitments such as school age children, providing care for a family member, or set days to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
If you can commit to at least 15 hours per week then we may be the right choice for you. You will receive all the benefits of a full-time staff member, as well as the same robust developmental support to enable you to become an autonomous practitioner within a supportive locality.
Example hours can include (list not exhaustive, all circumstances will be discussed and considered at interview)
Full time (8am-4pm, 10am-6pm or 8am-6pm)
Five-hour shifts (minimum 15 hours per week) 8-1pm or 1-6pm
full-time hours with longer breaks to enable care provision if needed
Set days
Long days available if preferred
*Please note you must be able to commit to working at least one weekend a month.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be an NMC registered nurse who has enthusiasm, energy and a passion for delivering the best nursing care possible. Community experience is not essential but you will need to demonstrate that you have an understanding and awareness of autonomous working in the community setting, with evidence of some transferable skills.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings
